4. Example of the use :     4.2.3  DGE – instrumentation
For controlling and checking purified gas values and for the system control it is used a measuring system which has been developed specially for this process. In the purified gas it is measured at the same time NO-, NO2- ucontent and as a supplement also oxygen content. On the basis of experience it is possible to start from the fact that in the purified gas mostly NO is contained taking into consideration the fact that time of pause for a complete NO oxidation is a phase all the time which is determined by velocity. As measuring instruments they are used sensors with the following measuring ranges: :
NO 0 to 1000 ppm
NO2 0 to 100 ppm
Additionally, it is possible to dilute the taken off measured gas with the use of false air in a ratio of 1:10. In this way it is possible to attain a higher service life of the sensors. In addition to it, it is possible in this way to include also other points with higher concentrations i.e. by switching a measuring point. One example of ratio NO2/NO– in the purified gas on the outlet of the purification equipment found in that way is presented in Figure 3. In this way, measured values of the purified gas are transferred into the control of the equipment and serve as a control variable for proportioning hydrogen peroxide or for switching over the adsorber.
